How to read this kind of prize

Cash and cards look simple, but they differ in what you can do with them. Money paid by transfer is yours to spend anywhere; a gift card is tied to a shop or a group of shops; a voucher may expire or require a minimum purchase. Compare the face value with the conditions rather than the headline number.

Prizes in money may be paid gross or net of tax and need bank details that you should only give through the official route after verification. For gift cards, check the validity period, the countries where they work and whether they can be replaced if lost.
